The Heron
For a genuine family sailing experience you can't beat a Heron. With clubs all around Australia and for over 50 years introducing sailors young and old to the sport of sailing, the Heron class is one of the longest established in Australia. Boats are one design but not restricted to one supplier or builder. Boats are foam fibreglass or plywood and may be jig-built at home in ply. Brand new boats are from $9,000 ready to sail, or may be bought in various stages of completion. Second hand $500 to $5,000. Go to 'Boats for Sale' links in your state to download a list, or contact us via the email link below.
